How We Got Started
I'm Keith and I've raised Lowline Angus and Registered Angus cattle most of my life. I was doing just like everyone else: raising calves, taking them to the sale, making little to no money. I researched Romagnolas for almost 2 years before I bought one. I wasn't sure that the Lowlines (the original smaller breed of Angus) could handle birthing the calves. After learning all I could about Romagnolas, I realized that they were not born broad-shouldered and double-muscled, their muscle came as they grew. I bought a Romagnola bull and started breeding him to my herd. Everything that I had learned was true. The smaller Lowline cows had no trouble calving the narrow, tubular Romagnola calves, and the Registered Angus cows did just as well as the Lowlines. I have been growing my herd since 2019. We now have a few full-blood Romagnolas, some Registered Angus, and working to produce the highest quality breeding stock possible.
